Starting with beta release 7.5.1.12 IBConsole saves it's settings to a xml file. The mean reason to implement this is the possibility to have different instances of IBConsole with it's own settings.

In case you want to use your current settings of IBConsole there is a tool available to save your current settings in a IBConsole.xml.

MS windows:

Download the configuration utility.
Extract it to a (temporary) directory and run it.
Move the file "ibconsole.xml" to the directory of IBConsole.

Linux:

Download the configuration utility.
Extract it to a (temporary) directory.
In a terminal session execute the command:
./LoadIBConsoleConfig
Move the file "IBConsole.xml" form the (temporary) directory to the directory of IBConsole.
